@Rui Borges: Thanks for comment Rui but I don't really think people are indifferent. People are always moved by such need. But they also know giving a few lira will make no difference. Also most people don't feel they really have a few lira to spare, certainly not for every beggar they pass on the street.

Powerful image there. From a distance I feel compassion, and yet I sence apathetic indifference from those who pass by the man. Sad.

@Dornbrau: As I replied to Rui I don't think people are indifferent. I took this shot for the contrast between how still he was and the movement on the street. Thanks for your comment
