btw Am thinking of buying a scanner. Any recoommendations?

@Fred: I'm not surprised you're amazed. When I first came here my guidebook told me "wear long sleeves". It's just not true. Istanbul teenagers pierce their bellies as much as teens anywhere.

Hi Carol - Love the insights you give with these group shots. You could subtitle this one "Hats" - it looks really cold there. As for scanners, the el cheapo Canon Pixma MP 160 series does the job OK - comes with ArcStudio editing software too (less than $80 AUD, so could be even cheaper in Turkey). You're not using a digital camera at all?

@Sidonie: Thanks for the advice, but Turkey doesn't mean cheap for technology. I'm off the UK in a couple of days so will look at it there. No. No digital.

fantastic. you captured the moment all right. Epson makes a great line of scanners. check out dpreview.com for reviews. you'll be glad you did your research whenever you do buy a scanner.

Very nice group shot, the individual life stories portrayed here are wonderful as is the group story. This looks like it could easily be a band shot, very well done.
